This is Enigma XK
Enigma xK is a 71.4-metre expedition vessel engineered for long-range voyages. Originally constructed as a fishery patrol ship, she was fully converted into a high-end luxury explorer yacht.
History
The vessel was built in 1988 by British shipyard Richards Shipbuilders in Lowestoft. She initially served as a fishery protection vessel under the name Norna. Her robust steel hull was built to withstand the demanding conditions of the North Sea. In 2010, an extensive conversion project was launched to rebuild her as an explorer vessel. The transformation was completed in 2013 and earned recognition at the World Superyacht Awards in 2014.
Design
The original naval architecture was designed for rugged commercial operations. McFarlane ShipDesign managed the naval architecture during her comprehensive conversion. Exterior styling and interior layout were designed by Vitruvius Yachts and Philippe Briand. Her reinforced steel hull provides exceptional seaworthiness in remote ice-bound regions. The modified superstructure combines expansive glass surfaces with clean, contemporary lines.
On board
The interior spaces offer a combination of contemporary luxury and practical sea-going comfort. Natural wood finishes and panoramic windows create a bright ambiance throughout the decks. Guest amenities include an outdoor spa, a fitness suite, and spacious sun decks. The aft deck is configured to store tenders and specialized exploration equipment.
