Delivered in 2018 by Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts, the motor yacht Omaha combines dynamic profile lines with transatlantic capability. This 50-metre vessel represents modern engineering in custom yacht construction.
History
The motor yacht was constructed under the project name Maia at the Oss shipyard. Her hull and superstructure joined together during assembly in 2016. Official launching took place in early 2018 in the Netherlands. Following sea trials in the North Sea, delivery took place in July 2018. She stands as the first hull in the builder's 50-metre steel displacement class under 500 GT.
Design
Naval architecture was engineered by Heesen Yachts in collaboration with Van Oossanen Naval Architects. The steel hull features the specialized Fast Displacement Hull Form for enhanced hydrodynamic efficiency. Exterior lines were created by British studio Clifford Denn Design, taking inspiration from classic automotive design. Her superstructure is constructed entirely from lightweight aluminium.
On board
Interior design was conceived by British studio Reymond Langton Design. The layout features warm wood finishes accented by understated metallic details. The spacious main salon benefits from large windows offering panoramic views. Outdoor spaces include an expansive sun deck equipped with lounge areas and alfresco dining facilities.
