This is I Dynasty
Launched by German yard Kusch Yachts, I Dynasty stands as one of the builder's most accomplished projects, blending advanced engineering with refined interiors by Massari Design.
History
I Dynasty was built at the Kusch Yachts shipyard in Wewelsfleth, Germany, under the project name V853. Launched on 5 November 2014, she was delivered to her owner in July 2015 following an extensive construction process. She ranks among the largest and most complex vessels ever built by the yard, standing as its second largest build behind the 133.2-metre Al Mirqab. The project was overseen by Vega Yachts, which managed the overall construction process.
Design
Naval architecture and exterior styling were entrusted to Monaco-based studio The A Group, led by Richard Hein. Conceived from the outset as a multi-generational family yacht, the project led her designers to embrace the then-emerging Passenger Yacht Code, a regulatory framework created for large vessels carrying higher guest numbers. This made I Dynasty one of the first superyachts to achieve full PYC certification, meeting stricter safety and material standards. Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure, finished with teak decks, reflect a robust build suited to long-range cruising.
Interiors
The interior design is the work of Italian studio Massari Design, which created a warm and elegant atmosphere using rich anigre and madrone burr veneers, accented with gold leaf and detailed marquetry. The main saloon offers multiple seating areas alongside a formal dining space, a games table, a baby grand piano and a well-stocked library. Parquet flooring replaces carpet in several areas for a more formal aesthetic, while floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interiors with natural light. The owner's suite features its own private study and dressing room, together with separate his-and-hers bathrooms.
Technical Specifications
Diesel-electric propulsion combines twin Rolls-Royce Bergen main engines with three Caterpillar C32 auxiliary units, driving Rolls-Royce Azipull azimuth thrusters for exceptional manoeuvrability. This setup gives I Dynasty a top speed of 17 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 14 knots, with a range of 7,000 nautical miles. Underway and zero-speed stabilisers ensure consistent comfort at sea. Aft, a floodable tender garage converts into an open-air pool deck once the tender is launched, with options including a Riva 33 Aquariva and a 9.6-metre Pascoe limousine tender, while a striking wheelhouse and a panoramic crow's nest complete her distinctive silhouette.
Recently at sea
At 102 metres, she ranks #37 among the 2,393 yachts tracked by Yacht Tracker. Over the past 30 days she spent 1 day at sea, covering about 24 km. Yacht Tracker has been following her position since October 18, 2026.
