This is Whisper
Delivered by Lürssen in 2014, this 95.2-metre motor yacht embodies the alliance of German engineering and contemporary refinement, crowned by a World Superyacht Award.
History
Built by the German shipyard Lürssen, this vessel was delivered in 2014 under the name Kismet, before later being renamed Whisper. The new-build project was overseen by the brokerage house Moran Yacht & Ship, which also managed its charter operations. The year following delivery, the yacht was honoured with a World Superyacht Award in the category of displacement motor yachts above 75 metres, with judges praising her impeccable construction, appealing exterior design and tasteful interior. She also received several nominations at the Showboat Design Awards, in the categories of exterior design, interior design and naval architecture. This record of recognition confirmed her place among the most accomplished creations of her shipyard.
Design
The exterior lines were penned by Espen Oeino International, a reference name in styling for large motor yachts. The original brief called for a vessel conceived as a genuine hub for entertainment and hospitality, able to host large groups while preserving intimate spaces for family life. Careful thought was given to how guests actually make use of the exterior decks during a typical week's cruise, which in turn shaped the distribution of lounging and entertainment areas across every level. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure give the vessel a robust technical architecture, typical of the shipyard's largest builds. The general arrangement was designed to offer open perspectives and visual continuity from one deck to the next.
Interiors
The interior design is the work of Reymond Langton Design, led by Pascale Reymond and Andrew Langton, following an approach described as a rich contemporary interpretation of Art Deco themes. The double-height volumes on the main deck and owner's deck stand out as a highlight of the interior composition, playing on the drama of the reception spaces. Exotic woods, handcrafted textiles, marble and leather dress the various lounges and suites in a distinctly refined style. The yacht offers eight staterooms accommodating up to sixteen guests, including a master suite with its own private deck fitted with a jacuzzi and direct access to the helicopter landing area. Large windows across every deck reinforce the connection between the interior spaces and the surrounding seascape.
Technical
With a gross tonnage of 2,928 GT, the vessel reaches a maximum speed of 17 knots. She carries a crew of up to 28, dedicated to delivering a premium cruising experience. Notable features include two helicopter landing pads and a private observation platform, fitted with an outdoor bed for stargazing that can be closed off from the rest of the communal areas. This combination of technical capability and functional refinement reflects Lürssen's expertise in building large-scale yachts.
Recently at sea
At 95 metres, she ranks #54 among the 2,393 yachts tracked by Yacht Tracker. She has not put to sea in the past 30 days. Yacht Tracker has been following her position since October 18, 2026.
