This is Radiant

Launched in 2009 by Lürssen under the project name Darius, this 110-metre motor yacht stands out for her powerful lines and remarkably generous interior volumes.

History

The project was launched by Lürssen under the name Darius, with the yacht taking to the water in April 2009 at the German shipyard. She was delivered in 2010 under her current name, Radiant, following construction at the group's facilities in Germany. The yacht belongs to a lineage of large Lürssen vessels shaped by designer Tim Heywood, sharing stylistic ties with Al Raya as well as with Pelorus, to which she was designed as a close sistership. Since her delivery, Radiant has undergone maintenance work and a refit, including time at the Blohm+Voss shipyard and further work completed in 2023.

Design

The exterior lines were penned by Tim Heywood, known for his work on several large Lürssen yachts of this generation. The hull is built of steel, topped by an aluminium superstructure, with teak-laid decks underscoring the elegance of her profile. The yacht wears a distinctive grey hull paired with a lighter superstructure, a choice that lends her a discreet yet commanding presence. A helipad is integrated into the design, completing a set of exterior decks conceived for life at sea and at anchor alike.

Interiors

Terence Disdale Design was entrusted with the interior scheme, making the most of the yacht's generous beam to create spaces that are unusually spacious for a vessel of this length. Radiant can welcome up to twenty guests across several suites, cared for by a crew of up to 44. Onboard amenities include a cinema, a gymnasium, a beauty salon and a beach club area opening onto the sea. This combination of volume and amenity makes her a vessel built for extended, self-sufficient cruising.

Technical

Radiant is powered by twin MTU 16V 1163 TB73L diesel engines, giving her a top speed of 21 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots. The yacht measures approximately 5,027 gross tons, reflecting the interior volume spread across five decks. Her construction pairs a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure, a classic configuration for vessels of this size from Lürssen. The yacht has since returned to shipyard for upkeep and modernisation, in keeping with the long-term care typical of the German builder's largest projects.

Recently at sea

At 110 metres, she ranks #25 among the 2,394 yachts tracked by Yacht Tracker. Over the past 30 days she spent 3 days at sea, covering about 170 km. Of late she has spent most of her time in Athens (Greece). Yacht Tracker has been following her position since October 18, 2026.
