This is Deep Blue
Delivered by German shipyard Lürssen, Deep Blue ranks among the most voluminous motor yachts ever built, defined by a bold reversed colour scheme and sculptural silhouette.
History
Construction of this project began in 2021 under the code name 'Deep Blue' at Lürssen's facilities. Her hull was launched and moved to a floating dock in July 2023, before the full structure came together at the Aumund site. The official launch took place on 27 June 2025 in Bremen, timed to coincide with the shipyard's 150th anniversary celebrations. Following outfitting and sea trials conducted in the North Sea, the yacht was subsequently handed over to her owners. She ranks among the largest yacht deliveries of 2025 worldwide.
Design
Naval architecture was developed in-house by Lürssen, while Winch Design was responsible for both the exterior styling and the interior design. The yacht is built on a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure, spread across six decks with flowing lines that taper toward the bow. Her interior volume reaches 9,079 gross tons, placing her among the most voluminous vessels ever launched by the yard. Her colour scheme stands out for its reversal of convention: a white hull topped by a metallic blue superstructure, whereas large yachts typically feature the opposite arrangement. This rare visual signature at such scale gives the yacht an unusual and instantly recognisable balance.
On Board
The clear foredeck was designed to accommodate helicopter operations, offering guests a direct and discreet arrival. Throughout the yacht, wide walk-around decks allow fluid movement between exterior spaces. Aft, an open beach club occupies the lower deck with direct access to the sea. Above it, cascading aft decks form tiered terraces furnished with sun loungers and lounging areas. The upper aft deck features a curved infinity pool, framed by expansive relaxation spaces overlooking the water.
Recently at sea
At 137 metres, she ranks #12 among the 2,394 yachts tracked by Yacht Tracker. Over the past 30 days she spent 2 days at sea, covering about 200 km. Of late she has spent most of her time in Trieste (Italy). Yacht Tracker has been following her position since October 18, 2026.
