History
Founded in 1873 by Lorenzo Benetti in Viareggio, the shipyard initially constructed wooden trading vessels. Following the Second World War, the yard shifted its focus toward motor yachts for pleasure. The brand gained international renown with the launch of its signature steel vessel series. Today, production facilities in Viareggio and Livorno build large custom yachts.
Craftsmanship
Benetti craftsmanship relies on blending traditional Italian art with modern naval technology. Shipyard engineers regularly collaborate with acclaimed designers such as Stefano Natucci and RWD. The yard masters steel and aluminum construction for displacement hulls alongside composite builds. Each project emphasizes optimized interior spaces and meticulous fine joinery. The integration of hybrid propulsion systems demonstrates a continuous commitment to responsible navigation.
Notable yachts

The 90-meter motor yacht Lionheart represents one of the most substantial and sophisticated builds launched in Livorno. Measuring 63 meters in length, Lioness V reflects the yard's mastery of generous volumes and classic styling. The 37-meter vessel Christella III demonstrates the builder's expertise in refined composite motor yachts. Every creation showcases the exacting standards that define the Benetti name.
