History
The shipyard was founded in 1877 by Hermann Blohm and Ernst Voss on the island of Steinwerder in Hamburg. Over the decades, the company established a historic reputation in commercial shipbuilding and military naval construction. The German builder later transitioned its expertise toward the creation of custom mega yachts. The historic shipyard eventually joined the Lürssen Group to strengthen its specialized luxury yachting division. Today, the Hamburg facility remains a central site for large-scale yacht construction and complex refit projects.
